Too-wit Lodge
The female owl's call — a warm, embracing retreat with panoramic valley views
A Retreat Like No Other
Too-wit Lodge is named after the distinctive call of the female tawny owl, regularly spotted in our valley at dusk. This hand-crafted A-frame lodge blends rustic warmth with modern luxury, featuring soaring timber ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Clwydian Range, and thoughtful touches throughout.
Step inside to discover natural tones, original artwork by local artist Kath Morley, and bespoke wood sculptures by Rob Dalton — each piece telling a story of the Welsh landscape. The open-plan living space flows naturally from kitchen to dining to lounge, with a wood-burning stove effect fire at its heart.
Outside, your private deck hosts a bubbling hot tub with uninterrupted views across the valley — the perfect spot for stargazing or watching the morning mist roll in.

Named After Nature
Too-wit is the call of the female tawny owl — a sound that echoes through our valley each evening as dusk settles over the Clwydian Range. We named this lodge as a tribute to the wildlife that shares this special corner of North Wales with us.
Inside, you'll find original artwork by Kath Morley of Touch Art, whose pieces capture the textures and moods of the Welsh landscape. Rob Dalton's hand-carved wood sculptures add a tactile connection to the natural world just outside your window.
Every detail has been chosen with care — from the locally sourced materials in the build to the hand-picked treats in your welcome pack. This isn't just a place to stay; it's a place to belong.
